Yoga

Yoga is derived from the word ‘yoke’ which means to connect. Over and over yoga can teach this on many levels- we can connect to ourselves (check in) but also we can be better at connecting to others, our purpose and the concept of being connected to the greater community that is humanity. Yoga sequences can be a wonderful way to stretch, strengthen and mobilise as many muscles and joints and connective tissue in a relatively short amount of time. Combined with that it can be time to check in with your breath and body and mind and take a break from the chaos of a day. The best bit – once you learn a few moves-  it is accessible anywhere. After maintaining a consistent personal practice, I completed my Yoga Teacher Training in Power Yoga in 2012 with Tammy Williams at Yoga NRG on the Sunshine Coast. Other related training has included:
  • Level 1 Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training
  • Postnatal and Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training

I combine this knowledge with my physiotherapy background and Clinical Pilates training to offer classes that support the whole body. I also interweave mindfulness principles and perspectives throughout each session.

My classes are relaxed (we’ll often share a laugh!) but always purposeful—tailored to your individual needs, injuries, and stage of life.

Please keep an eye on Facebook for updates on classes or please get in touch with any questions that you may have. Private classes for groups are also available upon request.
